Smile Hi Dorothy

Not seen the programs you have watched.
I shall look in the tv pages to see what it was about.

Watched jewish mums last nite on ch4, group of jewish mums have to do tasks to find out who is the jewish super mum. I find their traditions interesting.
Last week the mums had to go in pairs and organise a teenager party (with their traditions in mind). This weeks was interviewing a single jewish girl then go in search of a jewish boy to interview!! Some of the mums were drooling over the young men and some were being over the top "bossy mum".
Each week two mums get voted off.
Its something different!!!

Anyone for strictly?

Smile Hi Dorothy

The costumes are beautiful, I read in a magazine that they are all made each week and lots of beads gets hand sewn! I'd love a swishy long frock!

I like the dancing, bruce goes on (whoever writes his jokes, well very cheesy)!

Have you kept your medals and photos from your dancing days? Fond memories?!

When I was really young, I did ballet and tap classes.....I giggle at the thought of delicate ballet moves-not something I could try and do in a dainty girly manner!!! I'd be dumbo hahaha.

Another one, I don't thing I have the power and leg swing for riding a horse.......wonder if anyone with ra rides??

Nice to remember what we could all do!!!

Take care
Jane

hello dorothy, my sister in law put me on to cuckoo so I've been watching it from the beginning usually on iplayer, because I usually forget to check what's on BBC3. I loved last week's episode when the dad got dressed as the singer from dexy's midnight runners and got stoned with his son in law. Very funny. And isn't cuckoo himself so sweet.
Also a strictly fan, but agree totally with Jane, Brucie is far too dominant in the show and those excruciatingly unfunny links he does - louis smith looked really fed up last week.
Other favourites, Downton, The Paradise and Hunted. Definitely the weather for sitting in front of the box!

i also love Strictly, and have to watch It Take's Two each night as well.

love the costumes, the bling, the anticiaption, the shock or surprise at some of the dancers such as Lisa Riley being so good when she was put as an under dog, i love the laughs that some dancers give me like Richard Arnold last week.

i also think Brucie has had his day and think Anton would be a good Host when Brucie decides to retire.

i'm also a Downton fan and was almost in tears at the last episode and have enjoyed the Paradise although wasn't sure at first.

the other programme's i like are the home one's such as Location Location and Grand Designs.

I love sitting down on an evening now in front of the tele. It seems such a hassle these days to go out in the evening.
Haven't seen Cukoo yet will look out for it. waiting for wartime farm to start, love all historical type progs.
Jane I used to do ballet and tap too many moons ago, loved it. I remember performing at different places, doing tap to the song "I'm young and beautiful"..... shows my age!
Also springing around the stage dressed as a pixie, kept that outfit for years. Happy memories!
